QAQC Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans.
• Conduct inspections and tests on materials, equipment, and work-in-progress to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
• Review and verify all quality-related documentation, including ITPs, method statements, and material submittals.
• Monitor and report non-conformance issues and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
• Monitor site activities and subcontractor work to ensure adherence to quality standards.
• Coordinate with construction and commissioning teams to ensure quality compliance at all stages.
• Maintain detailed QA/QC documentation for testing, inspection records, and handover packages (e.g., FAT/SAT, redlines, as-builts).
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on quality-related matters.
• Prepare and maintain quality reports, inspection records, and final handover documents.
• Support audits and ensure project adherence to ISO, client, and regulatory quality requirements.
• Participate in project meetings and quality briefings as required.
• Comply with Quality, Health & Safety Policies

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Building Services, or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in MEP construction, preferably within data centre, industrial, commercial, or high-rise projects.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, including electrical, ACMV/HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, ELV, and BMS works.
• Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, Inspection & Test Plans (ITP), Method Statements, checklists, and Material Inspection Requests (MIR).
• Experienced in conducting site inspections, quality inspections, testing, commissioning, and monitoring of MEP installation works.
• Able to review and verify shop drawings, material submissions, specifications, and project quality requirements.
• Familiar with relevant Malaysian standards, codes, regulations, and project specifications.
• Experienced in managing NCRs, site observations, corrective/preventive actions, and quality documentation.
• Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, construction teams, and project management.
• Strong documentation, reporting, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Autodesk/ACC, BIM, or other construction management platforms is an advantage.
• CIDB/QAQC-related certifications will be an added advantage.
• Candidates with data centre MEP construction and commissioning experience will be highly preferred.

Working Hour

Monday to Friday 8.00am to 5pm

Saturday 8.00am to 12noon (Alternate)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM6,000.00 - RM11,000.00 per month
