About The Role


As a CBRE Data Center Sr Engineer, you will perform advanced preventative maintenance and complex corrective repairs within a Data Center operation. You will also provide leadership and guidance to junior team members, ensuring the highest standards of service delivery.

What You’ll Do


  • Manage daily site inspections of all Mechanical & Engineering systems and technical equipment, including servicing and maintenance.
  • Ensure the site's environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
  • React to Building Management System alarms, and complete emergency repairs as needed.
  • Document and report to management.
  • Assist staff with difficult planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance on all equipment.
  • Check BMS for running and alarm conditions and respond to high-priority HVAC-related client problems.
  • Review and approve meter readings from UPS, PDU, and utilities to ensure accurate information is being documented.
  • Subject mater expert on Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting.
  • Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
  • Follow all safety processes and requirements and confirm all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
  • Ensure that ACOP’s applicable to the maintenance industry procedures.
  • Conduct complex quality checks for comprehensive maintenance records.
  • Develop and implement work processes, Job Hazard Analysis reports, and SOPs for critical work with risk assessment.
  • Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job-related responsibilities.
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and techniques/procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions. Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of own job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
  • Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE values.
  • Work to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
  • Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within own team and other related teams.
  • Work within broad guidelines and policies. Explain difficult or sensitive information.

What You’ll Need


  • Bachelor Degree Preferred, or 4-5 years of relevant work experience.
  • Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
