Role Description The Social Media Intern is a full-time, hybrid role based in WP Kuala Lumpur. This role supports the social media team in planning, creating, and publishing content across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and others. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with content ideation, drafting captions, preparing visual assets with designers, and scheduling posts using social media management tools. The intern will help monitor social channels, respond to comments or messages under guidance, and compile basic performance reports. The role also involves researching trends, competitors, and audience behavior to support campaign planning and contribute to brainstorming sessions for digital and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform Social Media Marketing and Social Media Content Creation tasks, including ideation, posting, and engagement.
• Understanding of Digital Marketing and Marketing principles, especially within social platforms and online campaigns.
• Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to adapt tone and style to different audiences.
• Interest in current social media trends, platforms, and content formats (e.g., short-form video, stories, reels).
• Basic familiarity with design or editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar) is an advantage.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively on-site in WP Kuala Lumpur and take initiative while receiving guidance.
• Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field is preferred.
