About Us
We're looking for an experienced, hands-on Technical Manager to oversee all technical operations and ensure every show runs smoothly from setup to strike.
The Role
As Technical Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall technical direction of our shows and events — leading the sound, lighting, and stage crews, managing equipment, and making sure the technical side of every production is executed safely, on time, and to a high standard.
What You'll Do
- Oversee all technical aspects of live shows and events, including sound, lighting, staging, and AV
- Lead and coordinate the technical crew (sound engineers, lighting technicians, stagehands, etc.)
- Plan technical requirements for each show, including equipment, staffing, and scheduling
- Liaise with artists, tour managers, and production teams on technical riders and requirements
- Oversee load-in, setup, sound checks, live show execution, and load-out/strike
- Maintain, inspect, and manage all technical equipment (sound systems, lighting rigs, staging, cabling, etc.)
- Manage equipment inventory, repairs, upgrades, and vendor/rental relationships
- Ensure all technical operations comply with safety standards and venue regulations
- Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and calmly during live events
- Manage technical budgets and control equipment/production costs
- Train, schedule, and supervise technical staff and freelance crew
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of experience in technical production, stage management, or live event operations
- Strong working knowledge of sound systems, lighting, rigging, and stage equipment
- Proven leadership experience managing a technical crew
- Ability to read and interpret technical riders and stage plots
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to stay calm under pressure during live shows
- Solid understanding of health and safety standards for live events
- Comfortable working nights/weekends around show schedules
- Excellent organizational and communication skills

- Experience working with touring artists, agents, or production companies
