Job Description

Responsibilities

Primary Objectives of Position

To provide support in the Social Work department in enhancing the pupil’s growth, development, and emotional well-being through family intervention. To assist the pupil’s family in terms of coping with the former’s disability.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist the Social Worker in attending to information and referral from the public and pupils’ family members. To assist in referring clients to the appropriate services for further intervention.
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to the Social Worker. This would include following up with the necessary documents from clients for Means Testing and for data submission to the relevant authorities.
  • Assist the Social Worker with the coordination of application, admission and financial assistance procedures. To have an average caseload of 40. The cases would be those related to financial issues and they would be independently managed by the Social Work Associate.
  • Assist the Social Worker in organising and running programmes relevant to the social and emotional needs of the pupils’ family members. To be a co-facilitator in selected segments of those programmes.
  • Assist in evaluating the progress of clients in support programmes.
  • Keep records of group sessions. To be a co-facilitator in group work sessions where appropriate.
  • To do case assessments independently.
  • To support the department in terms of evaluating programmes outcomes, in terms of documentation and generating statistics

Other Responsibilities

  • To perform any other duties as required by the Social Workers, Centre Manager, Director, CEO or Management.
  • To work with volunteers during programme implementation in terms of logistics and activity planning.

Job Specifications

  • Minimum Diploma in Social Work
  • Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with experience are preferred.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office
  • Able to conduct financial assessments
  • Strong team player
  • Meticulous and organized
