Job Summary

Manage and lead Engineering procurement spend and projects across the APAC region. Develop and execute procurement strategies, drive commercial performance, and enhance supplier management to achieve efficiency, savings, and sustainability targets.

Responsibilities

• Manage all Engineering spend within the APAC region to optimize budget allocation and cost efficiency
• Serve as the primary procurement contact for all Engineering projects in the region, ensuring alignment with business goals
• Develop and implement procurement strategies for Engineering, covering new investments and factory equipment maintenance and upgrades
• Drive commercial performance improvements and continuous efficiency gains for the Engineering procurement category
• Design and deploy systems, processes, and tools to track KPIs, improve efficiency, and enhance vendor management and development
• Lead management and development of key suppliers to ensure quality, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
• Identify category and functional resource gaps in the region and recommend recruitment and talent development initiatives
• Lead and develop Engineering category spend management, ensuring achievement of procurement and efficiency targets including risk management, savings, project delivery, KPIs, working capital improvements, and sustainability goals
• Coordinate and administer all high-spend RFQs in compliance with global Procurement competitive tendering policies
• Implement global engineering procurement initiatives regionally, focusing on CAPEX project processes and execution
• Analyze regional category data to develop robust strategies that meet short- and medium-term business objectives
• Collaborate with local teams to implement procurement strategies at regional and local levels, providing project management support and resolving stakeholder challenges
• Identify and lead projects to continuously improve service levels, total cost of ownership (TCO), efficiency, and procurement systems and processes
• Continuously assess regional category resources, identify skills or capability gaps, and recommend recruitment, training, and development plans
• Ensure country team members have clear targets aligned with Sika’s target markets and regional strategies
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws, Sika’s Procurement Manual, and Sika Code of Conduct in all procurement activities
