On-Site Applications Engineer
Your Role and Impact
Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced Applications Engineer. In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.
You will act as a product specialist in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle all assigned activities at customer location. This includes all correspondence, open orders, drawings, recommendations, proposals, failure analysis, engineering/service support, provision of training, closing active quotations, coordination activities, establishment of KPIs with target setting and conducting quarterly and annual performance meetings.
- Evaluate customer requests and generate detailed solution proposals to address technical requirements
- Provide on-site analysis of failed seals and equipment and perform an in-depth root cause failure analysis (RCFA) as required, working with all departments at the assigned site to collect data for RCFA activity.
- Prepare comprehensive technical and commercial offers to support sales objectives
- Manage order acceptance, review, and preparation to ensure complete and accurate order processing
- Collaborate effectively with sales, development, and specialist teams to align solutions with business goal
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience as an Applications Engineer or in a similar role such as Inside Sales Representative or Engineer
- Proficient communication skills to engage with clients and internal teams effectively
- Strong technical acumen and analytical thinking to assess and develop solutions
- Candidates should ideally be experienced in mechanical seals or relevant rotating equipment.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings with a strong technical background with customer focus.
- Willing to station onsite in refinery/chemical plant environments
- Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) in Mechanical Engineering
