Responsibilities

Join our prestigious private club collective in Hong Kong as Cluster Chief Accountant.

We are seeking a Cluster Chief Accountant to oversee the back-end finance function across three business units. This role is responsible for accounting operations, month-end closing, financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, audit support, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable and key financial controls, while ensuring accurate, timely and compliant financial records across the cluster.

About the Role:
The role is ideal for a finance leader who combines strong technical accounting capability with sound people management, control discipline and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will support process alignment, reporting consistency, system integration and finance team effectiveness in a multi-entity operating environment.

What you need to have:
  • People Leadership: Leads with clarity, sets standards, develops team capability and creates accountability across the finance function.
  • Integrity: Demonstrates strong control awareness, professional judgement, confidentiality and commitment to accurate, compliant financial reporting.
  • Adaptability: Navigates a multi-entity, multi-system and transitional environment with resilience, structure and a solution-focused mindset.
  • Connection: Builds trusted working relationships across finance, operations and support functions, and collaborates effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strategic and Operational Judgement: Balances detailed accounting oversight with broader process improvement, reporting consistency and business support.
What you will do:
  • Oversee back-end finance activities across the three business units, covering general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit, payroll and related finance administration.
  • Lead and review month-end close activities, balance sheet reconciliations, journal entries and management reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness and compliance.
  • Own payroll-related finance governance, including reconciliations, journal review, statutory support and coordination with Human Resources, banks and relevant stakeholders.
  • Coordinate financial data interfaces, account mapping, cut-off principles, system reconciliation and reporting consolidation across a multi-system environment.
  • Coordinate audit schedules and supporting documents, strengthen internal controls and identify opportunities for greater standardisation and process discipline.
  • Lead and guide the finance team, set priorities and review standards, and support finance process enhancements and reporting improvements.
  • Partner closely with Operations, Audit, Human Resources, Purchasing, IT and other stakeholders to ensure effective coordination between front-end and back-end finance processes.
