About the Role

Designation: Catalyst, Health Collaborative

Reporting to: Head of Health Collaborative

Temasek Trust is seeking an experienced and strategic professional to lead the development of its climate and health portfolio. The role will translate complex health and climate challenges into focused, investable programmes, partnerships and initiatives that contribute to systems change across Singapore and Asia.

The successful candidate will work across philanthropy, research, innovation, policy, financing and implementation to identify and support high-impact opportunities. The role will also build trusted relationships across the public, private, academic, philanthropic and civil society sectors, while working closely with Temasek Trust’s wider ecosystem to connect health priorities with climate, sustainability, innovation, community and philanthropic capabilities.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a clear thematic strategy, translating complex health challenges into a focused, investable portfolio of programmes and partnerships.
• Originate, assess and curate high-impact opportunities across research, innovation, capability development, infrastructure, policy, financing and implementation.
• Build trusted relationships with governments, multilateral organisations, philanthropies, academic and research institutions, private-sector partners, civil society and implementing organisations.
• Structure and steward collaborations from concept to implementation, including partner alignment, governance, budgets, risk management, milestones and impact measurement.
• Prepare high-quality strategy papers, investment recommendations, briefing materials and presentations for senior management, committees and boards.
• Represent Temasek Trust and the Health Collaborative at relevant forums and contribute thought leadership to strengthen Singapore's and Asia's health ecosystem.
• Work closely across Temasek Trust and its wider ecosystem to connect health priorities with climate, sustainability, innovation, community and philanthropic capabilities.

Key Attributes & Requirements

• Postgraduate degree in public health, environmental health, climate science, sustainability, public policy, international development, economics, finance or a related discipline.
• At least three years of relevant experience in climate and health, sustainability, public health, international development, philanthropy, impact investing, public policy or cross-sector programme development.
• Strong understanding of climate-related health risks and the practical links between evidence, policy, financing, community implementation and systems change.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage partnerships across sectors and geographies. Experience with multilateral development banks, development finance or blended finance would be an advantage.
• Ability to recognises interdependencies, sets clear priorities and develops coherent pathways to impact.
• Proven programme development and management capabilities, including due diligence, stakeholder engagement, budget oversight, risk management and impact measurement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively to both technical and executive audiences.
• Sound judgement, strong analytical ability and the adaptability to work effectively in an entrepreneurial, fast-changing environment.
