Onnec are seeking a Cabling Subcontractor Resource Manager to be responsible for ensuring the effective availability, capability and performance of subcontractor and supplier resources across the APAC region. The role will establish robust partner management processes, maintain strong supplier relationships and ensure the right skilled resources are available in the right locations to support project delivery, operational services and new customer requirements.

What you’ll be doing as our Cabling Subcontractor Resource Manager:

Resource Capacity and Coverage

• Ensure sufficient partner resource capacity across all APAC countries to support project delivery and operational services.
• Maintain visibility of resource supply, demand and forecast requirements across the region.
• Proactively identify resourcing gaps and implement mitigation plans.
• Enable rapid mobilisation of engineers and technical resources for new customer requirements.

Supplier and Partner Management

• Establish and manage robust processes for subcontractor and supplier engagement across APAC.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with strategic delivery partners, suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify and engage appropriate vendors in the right locations with the required technical skills and capacity.
• Conduct regular face-to-face supplier meetings, performance reviews and capacity assessments.
• Manage contract negotiations, supplier rates and ongoing partner performance.

Governance, Compliance and Project Resource Fulfilment

• Drive governance across supplier and subcontractor activities, ensuring compliance requirements are consistently met.
• Oversee contract, compliance and quality management, including reporting on supplier performance and standards.
• Ensure all project and support service requirements are staffed within agreed timescales.
• Prioritise resource allocation across strategic customers, locations and programmes.
• Work closely with Operations, Delivery, Sales, Procurement and Commercial teams to meet project demands and escalate resource risks impacting delivery schedules.

What we’re looking for in our Cabling Subcontractor Resource Manager:

The successful candidate will bring credibility from an engineering-related environment, ideally with experience in structured cabling and an understanding of subcontractor networks, suppliers and technical resource requirements across APAC.

• Strong process-driven mindset with procurement, commercial, contract negotiation and rate management experience.
• Experience working with engineering teams, ideally within structured cabling and/or data centre environments.
• Relevant technical qualifications (BICSI/CNet/EPI/etc) are an advantage, but not mandatory.
• Ability to manage supplier onboarding, compliance and performance in partnership with Procurement and Operations.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Practical, proactive and adaptable approach, with the ability to work under pressure and respond to changing priorities.
• A collaborative team player who can work independently in the field while leveraging support from the wider team.
