Job Summary
The Culinary Services Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day café, pantry, catering, and food service operations while ensuring service excellence, vendor compliance, food safety adherence, cost control, and employee satisfaction. The role supports workplace dining experiences through efficient service delivery, menu planning, event execution, pantry management, stakeholder engagement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Café & Food Service Operations
Monitor daily breakfast, lunch, and other ad-hoc meal operations to ensure timely service delivery.
Ensure weekly menus are reviewed, approved, and aligned with employee preferences.
Verify food quality, presentation, availability, and adherence to approved menus.
Coordinate special lunches, themed events, and workplace food programs.
Address food service tickets and employee requests within agreed timelines.
Collect and analyze employee feedback to drive service improvements.
2. Pantry Management
Oversee pantry operations across all designated locations.
Ensure uninterrupted availability of pantry products and consumables.
Manage replenishment schedules, stock ordering, inventory levels, and consumption tracking.
Maintain pantry hygiene and operational standards.
3. Catering & Event Management
Coordinate catering requirements for meetings, events, leadership visits, and special functions.
Plan menus in accordance with budget guidelines and client requirements.
Manage end-to-end event execution, including setup, service delivery, feedback collection, billing, and closure.
Support site-level and leadership team special requests.
4. Vendor Management & Service Excellence
Monitor food service vendors and partners against established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Conduct regular vendor performance reviews covering food quality, service standards, product availability, and delivery timelines.
Ensure vendor compliance with workplace governance requirements, health and safety standards, and sustainability initiatives.
Drive continuous improvement through innovative service solutions.
5. Compliance & Food Safety
Support regulatory compliance requirements, including food safety and workplace standards.
Monitor validity and renewal of licenses such as FSSAI, Labor License, and Establishment License.
Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and workplace policies.
Promote compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements.
6. Financial & Cost Management
Support annual budgeting and monthly financial tracking activities.
Validate menu costing and event costing against approved budgets.
Coordinate vendor invoices, purchase indent approvals, and payment submissions.
Monitor operational spending and identify opportunities for cost optimization.
Assist in OPEX planning and budget forecasting activities.
7. Sustainability & Innovation
Identify opportunities to reduce waste and improve sustainability practices.
Promote the use of environmentally friendly products and solutions.
Drive innovation through new food concepts, service enhancements, and employee experience initiatives.
Implement at least one operational improvement or innovation initiative annually.
8. Team Collaboration & Development
Participate in workplace training, learning, and development programs.
Support employee engagement initiatives and team communication activities.
Maintain awareness of operational processes and procedures.
Encourage reporting of unsafe conditions, near misses, and unethical practices.
Support Ethics, POSH, and compliance awareness initiatives.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
SLA compliance for café and pantry operations.
Food quality and employee satisfaction scores.
Timely closure of food service tickets.
Successful execution of catering and special events.
Vendor performance scorecard compliance.
Budget adherence and cost optimization achievements.

Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, Food Service Management, or a related field.
2–5 years of experience in cafeteria operations, hospitality, corporate food services, or workplace services.
