Music Teacher

Job Summary

Polaris Music Academy seeks passionate Music Teachers to inspire students through engaging lessons, exam preparation, and supportive learning environments that foster musicianship, confidence, and enjoyment of music.

Responsibilities

• Conduct individual and group music lessons tailored to student abilities and goals
• Prepare students for practical and theory music examinations with structured guidance
• Develop customized lesson plans to support each student’s musical growth and objectives
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly, providing detailed feedback to parents
• Foster strong musicianship, confidence, discipline, and a positive attitude towards music
• Participate actively in academy events, performances, and student activities to enhance learning experiences
• Maintain a professional, positive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning

Required competencies and certifications

• Diploma in Music, Music Education, or a related field
• Grade 8 Music Theory certification or equivalent
• Demonstrated strong proficiency in the relevant instrument or teaching area
• Effective communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to work patiently and responsibly with children and students of varying ages and abilities

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Teaching experience in music education
• Experience preparing students for music examinations
