Position Title: Pre-Sales Solutions Manager (Data Centers)

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pre-Sales Solutions Manager to support the development and delivery of technical solutions for data center projects across the APAC region. Working closely with sales, engineering, and project delivery teams, you will act as the key technical advisor throughout the sales cycle, translating customer requirements into commercially viable and technically robust solutions. The ideal candidate will bring a strong understanding of data center infrastructure, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a customer-centric approach.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage with clients to understand business, technical, and operational requirements for data centre projects.
• Develop and present technical solutions covering critical infrastructure, including power, cooling, UPS, backup systems, and white space technologies.
• Support the sales team throughout the bid lifecycle, including customer meetings, technical workshops, tender responses, and proposal presentations.
• Review RFPs/RFQs and collaborate with internal engineering teams to develop fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Prepare technical proposals, solution architectures, scope definitions, and supporting documentation.
• Work closely with commercial teams to develop cost estimates, pricing strategies, and project assumptions.
• Serve as the primary technical advisor during customer engagements and solution discussions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to ensure seamless handover of awarded projects.
• Keep abreast of emerging data center technologies, industry standards, and market trends.

Key Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience within the data centre industry in a Pre-Sales, Solutions Engineering, Design, Technical Sales, or Project Engineering capacity.
• Strong understanding of data centre critical infrastructure, including electrical, mechanical, cooling, UPS, generator, fire protection, and BMS/DCIM systems.
• Experience supporting bids, tenders, proposals, and customer-facing technical presentations.
• Knowledge of data centre design standards and industry best practices, including Uptime Institute and TIA-942 standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.
• Commercially minded with the ability to balance customer requirements, technical feasibility, and business objectives.
• Experience working with data centre operators, developers, engineering consultancies, MEP contractors, or critical infrastructure vendors is highly preferred.
