About the Role
Reporting to the Managing Director, we are looking for a Quality Assurance Executive to support and drive the implementation, maintenance and continuous improvement of our Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental (QSHE) Management System within the Singapore laboratory.

You will play a key role in ensuring compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, relevant Singapore regulatory and accreditation requirements, and company policies. The role will also support the laboratory's accreditation activities and quality assurance programmes.

Responsibilities

• Implement, maintain and continuously improve the laboratory's Management System in line with ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant global and local requirements.
• Coordinate internal and external audits, including audit preparation, follow-up and monitoring of corrective actions.
• Oversee Proficiency Testing (PT) and internal Quality Control (QC) programmes, including reviewing results and following up on identified issues.
• Lead the review and close-out of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), deviations and customer complaints, including root cause analysis and corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain management system documentation and ensure records are properly controlled, stored and retained.
• Support the maintenance of laboratory accreditation requirements and relevant information within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Work closely with the Health, Safety and Environment (HSSE) team to promote safe working practices, continuous improvement and effective hazard and risk management.
• Coordinate external equipment calibration and preventive maintenance activities.
• Support the assessment, approval and monitoring of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Assist with other quality, compliance and continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory as required.

Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science/Food Technology, Quality Assurance or a related scientific discipline.
• Relevant experience in quality assurance, quality management, laboratory operations or a related field.
• Good practical and theoretical knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 and relevant Singapore regulatory, accreditation and compliance requirements.
• Experience in quality system management, including document control, non-conformance management, root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Experience supporting or conducting internal and external audits and accreditation activities.
• Good planning, organisational and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Knowledge or experience with Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) is an advantage.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with different teams.
• Proactive, organised and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, safety and compliance.
