Responsibilities
Role Summary
The Power BI Lead owns the modernization of the reporting and semantic layer, migrating legacy SAP Business Objects and MSAS/SSAS assets into governed Power BI semantic models. This role sets the design standards, review process, and delivery plan for the offshore BI engineering pod.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the target semantic model architecture and Power BI design standards for the program
- Lead the migration approach and cutover plan from SAP Business Objects and MSAS/SSAS to Power BI
- Review DAX, data models, and report designs produced by the Senior BI Engineer and BI Engineer
- Own Row Level Security (RLS) design and report performance optimization standards
- Coordinate UAT and validation of migrated reports with business stakeholders
- Liaise with the ETL/Data Engineering streams to ensure upstream data models support BI requirements

Experience
6-8 years in Power BI/BI development with at least 2 full-cycle SAP Business Objects or SSAS/MSAS to Power BI migrations, ideally in Insurance, Banking, or Financial Services.
Pay: RM10,000.00 - RM15,000.00 per month
