Job Title: Jr. Production Support
Experience Level: Junior (L2 - 3 to 5 years)
Location: Kuala Lumpur


Job Summary:
We are seeking a Junior L3 Production Support / Application Maintenance Engineer to support WAM and OPI applications. The role requires experience in API gateway platforms and/or Java Spring Boot microservices. Candidates will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and application maintenance across production environments, ensuring high availability and performance of enterprise applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide L3 production support for WAM and OPI applications, including incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
Support API gateway and API management platforms such as Axway, Apigee, Kong, or Layer 7 (CA/Broadcom).
Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Java Spring Boot microservices for OPI applications.
Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to ensure stable and secure deployments.
Perform Unix/Linux scripting for automation, monitoring, and batch processes.
Work with Oracle Database 12c / 19c for data-related support tasks.
Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and propose optimization solutions.
Prepare technical documentation, incident reports, and knowledge base articles.
Participate in change management, patching, and release activities.


Required Skills:

  • 3-5 years of experience in production support or application maintenance.
  • Hands-on experience in either:
  • o API gateway / API management platforms (Axway, Apigee, Kong, Layer 7) or
  • o Java Spring Boot microservices development.
  • Strong Unix/Linux experience.
  • Experience with Oracle Database 12c or 19c.
  • Solid troubleshooting, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Understanding of SDLC and change management processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Exposure to both API gateway platforms and Java microservices.
  • Knowledge of WAM and OPI enterprise applications.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.
  • Experience in monitoring tools, logging frameworks, or performance tuning.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced production environments and meet SLAs.
