We are looking for a dedicated and responsible Kumon Mathematics Instructor/Teacher to join our team on a long-term basis.

The role is suitable for individuals who enjoy working with children and have a strong foundation in Mathematics, including SPM Additional Mathematics.

Both full-time and part-time candidates are welcome to apply, provided they can commit to the role for at least 1 year.

Job Scope

* Mark and review students’ Kumon worksheets accurately.

* Guide students and provide assistance when they encounter difficulties.

* Explain mathematical concepts and help students understand their mistakes.

* Teach and guide students from Primary Mathematics up to SPM Additional Mathematics level.

* Prepare and organise worksheets and learning materials.

* Monitor and assess students’ learning progress.

* Record and update students’ progress and results.

* Provide appropriate guidance to help students progress to higher levels of Mathematics.

* Communicate with parents regarding students’ learning progress when required.

* Assist with classroom management and maintain a positive learning environment.

* Support students in developing independent learning, problem-solving and mathematical skills.

* Perform other duties related to the daily operations of the Kumon centre.

Requirements

* Minimum qualification: SPM.

* Must have obtained at least Grade B in SPM Additional Mathematics.

* Strong understanding of Mathematics and Additional Mathematics.

* Able to handle Mathematics from Primary level to SPM Additional Mathematics level.

* Teaching or tutoring experience is an advantage, but fresh SPM graduates are welcome to apply.

* Responsible, patient and committed when working with students.

* Willing to learn and follow the Kumon teaching and learning methodology.

* Good attendance and punctuality.

* Minimum commitment of 1 year required.

* No specific language requirement.

* No specific degree or field of study required.

Working Arrangement

Full-Time

* Monday to Friday

* 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM

* 1-hour break included

* Approximately 40 hours per week

Part-Time

* Monday to Friday

* Candidates may choose their available weekdays, but consistent availability and long-term commitment are strongly preferred.

* Minimum 4 working days per week.

* Working hours are negotiable but must cover the required class hours.
