The role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with hands‑on involvement in complex commercial transactions and transformational initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

Job Description

  • Act as a trusted legal and commercial advisor to senior leadership, providing pragmatic, commercially grounded legal advice aligned with strategic objectives
  • Lead, develop, and manage an in‑house legal team, fostering strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement across the organisation
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex domestic and international commercial contracts, including sales, services, supply, and long‑term framework agreements
  • Advise on high‑value, operationally complex agreements supporting core business activities and long‑term customer or partner relationships
  • Manage contractual claims, disputes, and contentious matters, working closely with external counsel where required
  • Support major strategic projects such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, and the establishment of overseas operations
  • Deliver internal legal training and provide updates on relevant legal, regulatory, and governance developments affecting the business


The Successful Applicant

A Successful Legal Professional Should Have

  • Law degree with honours from a reputable institution
  • Qualified lawyer admitted to practise in Singapore
  • Minimum 15 years of post‑qualification experience in corporate and commercial law
  • Strong track record advising on cross‑border transactions and complex contractual arrangements
  • Demonstrated ability to operate as a senior business partner to executive and board‑level stakeholders
  • Proven leadership capability with experience managing and developing legal teams
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills, with a practical, solutions‑oriented approach
