Lead Python Engineer | Singapore

I'm working on a rare opportunity for a hands-on Lead Python Engineer to join one of the world's leading investment firms, building technology that underpins a high-performing commodities trading business.

This is not a traditional central technology role.

You'll work side-by-side with the front office, owning everything from data pipelines and research platforms through to analytics tooling, AI-driven workflows and internal applications. If you enjoy taking ideas from whiteboard to production while working directly with end users, this is exactly that environment.

You'll likely be a great fit if you have:

Strong Python engineering experience

Experience leading projects, mentoring engineers or operating in a senior technical leadership role

Native Mandarin language skills (essential)

Commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management

Commodities experience would be highly advantageous (although other financial markets backgrounds will also be considered)

Comfortable working across global teams spanning Singapore, London and the US
