Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Assistant Manager Finance role based in Petaling Jaya. The Assistant Manager Finance will support the finance department in managing day-to-day financial operations, including accounts preparation, general ledger maintenance, and cash flow monitoring. The role involves assisting in monthly and annual closing activities, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The individual will help develop and monitor budgets, analyze variances, and provide financial insights to management for decision-making. Responsibilities also include coordinating with auditors and tax agents, improving internal controls and processes, and supporting finance-related projects across the organization.
Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and budgeting, with experience in managing full sets of accounts.
  • Proficiency in finance and accounting systems, spreadsheets, and ERP or accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Ability to analyze financial data, interpret trends, and prepare clear, accurate management reports.
  • Understanding of tax regulations, audit processes, and compliance requirements relevant to Malaysian businesses.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Relevant experience in finance or accounting, preferably within property development, construction, or related industries.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion in handling confidential information, and commitment to ethical financial practices.
