Our Client:

We are partnering with a MNC that specializes in Mechanical Coating Solutions. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Sales Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, qualify, and secure project opportunities with engineering, tooling, and manufacturing clients across Northern Malaysia.
• Work closely with client engineering and production teams to understand component wear, friction, and corrosion challenges and recommend tailored coating solutions.
• Manage the full project sales cycle from initial inquiry, sample evaluation, technical testing, and commercial quotation through to contract award.
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with key decision-makers, including R&D, tooling engineers, production managers, and procurement teams.
• Coordinate with internal technical specialists and regional application teams to ensure smooth project delivery, quality verification, and post-sales support.
• Monitor industrial project pipelines, market trends, and competitor activities within the regional manufacturing sector.

Requirements

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy, or a related technical discipline.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in project sales, technical sales, or application engineering dealing with mechanical products, surface treatments, precision tooling, cutting tools, or industrial wear components.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, heat treatment, surface finishing, or material wear mechanisms.
• Demonstrated ability to manage longer sales cycles, perform technical presentations, and conduct value-proposition selling.
