Role Description The Audit Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in Puchong, supporting the cafe’s financial integrity and internal controls. In this position, the Audit Assistant helps review daily sales records, supplier invoices, and expense claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with internal policies. The role includes assisting in the preparation and review of financial statements, supporting periodic financial audits, and helping compile audit reports for management. The Audit Assistant also performs basic reconciliations, monitors variances, and flags potential issues or risks for further investigation. Collaboration with the finance team and operations staff is essential to ensure that financial data is reliable and that processes are efficient and well-documented.
Qualifications

• Ability to work with Financial Statements and Finance-related documentation, with a strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Experience supporting Financial Audits and preparing or reviewing Audit Reports.
• Strong Analytical Skills for examining financial data, identifying discrepancies, and drawing accurate conclusions.
• Attention to detail, high level of integrity, and commitment to confidentiality in handling financial information.
• Proficiency in spreadsheet software (e.g., Microsoft Excel or similar) and basic accounting or point-of-sale systems.
• Relevant diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications or audit coursework are an advantage.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in an on-site environment.
• Prior experience in retail, food and beverage, or hospitality finance is beneficial but not mandatory.
