Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Cook to prepare high-quality food while maintaining hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness. The ideal candidate should be able to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen and support the team in delivering excellent food and service.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food following recipes and company standards to ensure consistent quality and taste
• Maintain food presentation and portion control to meet company guidelines
• Assist in preparing ingredients and setting up the kitchen before service.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, workstations, and utensils to uphold hygiene standards
• Store ingredients correctly and comply with food safety and sanitation protocols
• Monitor ingredient stock levels and promptly report shortages to the Chef
• Minimize food waste by handling ingredients efficiently during preparation and cooking
• Collaborate with kitchen team members to coordinate daily kitchen activities and ensure timely food delivery
• Adhere to all company policies, safety procedures, and kitchen standard operating procedures (SOPs)
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Supervisor to support kitchen operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Previous experience as a Cook or in a similar kitchen role
• Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment
• Positive attitude and ability to work well within a team
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Physical fitness to stand for extended periods during shifts
