Job Summary

Responsible for supporting the IT Project Management Office (PMO) in governing and coordinating technology projects across the bank. The role focuses on project governance, portfolio reporting, financial tracking, risk management, resource planning, project controls and ensuring compliance with the bank's project management framework.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the overall IT project portfolio management across banking technology initiatives.
• Establish and maintain project governance, standards, processes and reporting frameworks.
• Monitor project progress against approved scope, schedule, budget, milestones and deliverables.
• Consolidate project status reports from multiple Project Managers and provide portfolio-level reporting to senior management.
• Maintain RAID logs covering risks, assumptions, issues and dependencies.
• Track project risks and issues and ensure appropriate escalation and mitigation plans are in place.
• Monitor project financials, including:
• Project budgets
• Actual expenditure
• Forecast expenditure
• Resource costs
• Vendor costs
• Budget variance
• Track project resources and capacity across IT teams.
• Support project prioritisation and portfolio planning based on business priorities.
• Coordinate project governance meetings, steering committees and PMO review meetings.
• Prepare management dashboards, presentations and MIS reports for senior management.
• Ensure projects comply with the bank's IT governance, risk, security, compliance and audit requirements.
• Monitor project documentation and ensure required approvals are obtained.
• Maintain project repositories, project plans, schedules, risk registers and governance documentation.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, dependencies and critical-path activities.
• Coordinate project health checks and stage-gate reviews.
• Support change management and ensure project change requests follow the appropriate approval process.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Business Analysts, Technology teams, Finance, Procurement, Risk, Compliance and external vendors.
• Support internal and external IT audit activities by providing project governance documentation and evidence.
• Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting and project governance.
• Develop and maintain PMO templates, standards, procedures and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, Project Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in IT PMO / Project Management / Project Coordination.
• Previous experience in banking or financial services is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of project governance and project management methodologies.
• Experience with project portfolio management and management reporting.
• Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, Power BI or similar tools.
• Strong understanding of project financial tracking, resource management and risk management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong analytical, reporting and documentation skills.

Pay: RM2,351.51 - RM8,395.01 per month
