Job Description

Responsibilities

Overview

Inuka is working with a leading international renewable energy developer to recruit an Investment Associate based in Singapore. The company develops and operates utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects across the Asia Pacific region, with a growing portfolio spanning multiple markets.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career finance professional with experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or project finance to gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, supporting financial modelling, investment analysis, project financing, and strategic decision-making across a growing APAC renewable energy portfolio.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and update detailed financial models for utility-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects.
  • Support project finance analysis, including debt sizing, financing structures, project returns, cash flows, and sensitivity analysis.
  • Conduct financial and commercial analysis to support project development, investment decisions, and financing activities.
  • Support the evaluation of project economics, including capital expenditure, operating costs, revenues, financing assumptions, and returns.
  • Assist with debt financing, financial close, lender processes, and preparation of materials for financial institutions and investors.
  • Support financial and commercial due diligence processes and analyse project-related information.
  • Prepare investment papers, financial analysis, presentations, and reports for internal decision-making and senior management.
  • Work closely with project development, commercial, investment, and finance teams across the company's APAC portfolio.
  • Assist with evaluating new project opportunities, acquisitions, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor project and portfolio financial performance and support ongoing financial and investment analysis.
  • Contribute to improving financial models, analytical tools, and processes across the finance and investment function.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in project finance, corporate finance, investment analysis, or financial modelling.
  • Experience within a renewable energy developer, IPP, infrastructure investor, energy company, or project finance environment is highly desirable.
  • Strong financial modelling skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of project finance concepts, financial statements, project cash flows, debt financing, and investment returns.
  • Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, power markets, or energy transition projects is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting project financing, financial close, investment transactions, or due diligence is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with complex financial and commercial information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary and international teams.
  • Singapore-based candidates or candidates with a strong willingness to relocate to Singapore are preferred.
