Job Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Chemistry Teacher to join our growing academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality Chemistry lessons, inspiring students to develop a strong understanding and appreciation of the subject.

The ideal candidate will have relevant teaching qualifications and experience in teaching Chemistry, with a passion for creating an engaging and supportive learning environment. The role requires strong classroom management, effective communication skills, and a commitment to supporting students’ academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Chemistry at IGCSE and A level.

  • Teach science generally across years years 7-9.

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to diverse learning styles.

  • Inspire pupils to think critically and creatively about physical concepts and their applications.

  • Assess pupil progress and provide constructive feedback.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the science curriculum.

  • Contribute to the co-curricular life of the school through related activities and initiatives.

  • Actively participate in all weekly Continuing Professional Development (CPD) sessions and department meetings to support professional growth.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • A degree in Chemistry or a related field.

  • PGCE / iPGCE or with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), if applicable.

  • Experience teaching Chemistry at A Level is essential.

  • Strong communication skills and a passion for teaching.

  • A commitment to the pastoral care and development of pupils.
