The Role
Driving financial governance and leadership across construction and operational project phases.
- Oversee the full finance function spanning financial management, treasury, cost control, accounting, and taxation
- Lead preparation and review of IFRS-compliant financial statements
- Serve as the primary point of contact for both external and internal auditors, coordinating activities and managing queries
- Support the CFO on lender engagement, covenant compliance, loan drawdowns, and financial close activities
- Lead annual budgeting, five-year business planning, and forecasting for board and lender submissions
- Govern tax compliance, including oversight of specialist-prepared returns and management of tax audits and VAT refund inspections
- Manage payment approval processes and delegated authority frameworks at management and board level
- Liaise with government authorities and travel periodically to project sites across Malaysia
What We're Looking For
A technically strong, governance-oriented finance leader ready to operate with impact at the most senior level.
- Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, ICAEW or equivalent)
- Proven finance leadership experience within the construction sector - essential
- Strong working knowledge of IFRS and ERP platforms including SAP
- Track record of managing audit relationships, tax governance, and lender reporting obligations
- Experience leading cross-functional finance teams across multiple disciplines
- Confident engaging with government agencies, regulatory bodies, and senior stakeholders
- Willingness to travel to other states within Malaysia as required
