Job Summary

The Project Drafter cum Coordinator is responsible for preparing and updating project drawings, supporting BIM modelling activities, coordinating project documentation, and ensuring smooth communication between project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors. The role requires strong AutoCAD drafting skills, working knowledge of BIM/Revit, and basic IT knowledge to support project documentation, digital collaboration, and system coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers/Engineers in coordinating project activities from commencement to completion.

• Liaise with consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site personnel regarding project requirements and drawing submissions.

• Monitor project schedules and follow up on outstanding issues to ensure timely completion.

• Attend project meetings and prepare meeting minutes when required.

• Coordinate material submissions, technical documents, and project approvals.

• Conduct site visits to verify installation progress and compliance with approved drawings.

• Assist site teams in resolving drawing discrepancies and coordination issues.

• Update drawings and BIM models based on site changes and approved revisions.

• Support testing, commissioning, and handover documentation where applicable.

• Prepare, revise and maintain drawings, coordination drawings installation drawings, and as-built drawings using AutoCAD.

• Develop and maintaining BIM/Revit models.

• Review drawing and specification to ensure compliance with project requirements.

• Maintain drawing registers, revision logs, and BIM documentation records.

• Conduct site measurements and incorporate site conditions into drawings and models as required.

• Monitor and update project documentation throughout project execution.

• Any other project related activities assigned by the Managers.

Qualifications & Technical skills

• Diploma, Higher NITEC, NITEC or equivalent in a relevant engineering.

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in project coordination and drafting.

• Proficiency in AutoCAD.

• Knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

• Basic IT knowledge, including hardware, software, networking, and document management systems, is preferred.

• Accuracy and quality of drawings and BIM models.

• Timely submission of drawings and project documentation.

• Effective coordination with consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders.

• Compliance with project timelines and document control procedures.

• Reduction of drawing revisions and site coordination issues.
