Job Summary

Support teachers by preparing lessons and co-teaching while assisting autism students with self-care and toileting. Collect behavioral and progress data and collaborate on classroom management and behavior plan implementation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson materials to support teachers in delivering effective co-teaching sessions
• Assist autism students with self-care tasks including grooming and toileting to promote independence
• Collect and record simple behavioral and progress data of students to aid teachers’ assessments
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and implement student behavior plans and monitor lesson progress
• Support classroom management by working with teachers to maintain a positive learning environment

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ levels / ITE qualification
• Experience working with children and youths with autism

• Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 6:00 pm

Today, SAMH operates St. Andrew's Community Hospital, St. Andrew’s Autism Centre, St. Andrew’s Mission Hospital Clinics, St. Andrew’s Nursing Homes at Buangkok, Henderson and Queenstown and St. Andrew’s Senior Care centres at Kampong Glam, Tampines, Henderson and Queenstown.

St. John's-St. Margaret’s Nursing Home and Senior Care Centre at Dover Avenue will begin operations in 2021.
