Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Description
  • To support the Chief Aeromodelling Instructor (CAI) in the development of new aeromodelling or aviation-related modular programmes.
  • To support the improvement of existing CCA programmes.
  • To execute the delivery of modular programmes and activities with secondary schools and other aeromodelling clubs.
  • To liaise with the School Liaison Officers (SLOs) on the management and conduct of the aeromodelling activities.
  • To support the execution of internal and external publicity activities with schools and external agencies.
  • To update the CCA students’ database and records of all SYFC CCA schools’ activities in the Operations & Training Information Management User System (OPTIMUS).
  • To provide administrative support for the CCA Department, including the application for Airside security clearance through Airport Police for the CCA Flying Experience Programme.
  • To carry out secondary duties as assigned.

Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least a GCE ‘O’ Level with credit in English, Mathematics, and Science.
  • Possess aeromodelling and instructional skills.
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possessing the Unmanned Aircraft Pilot License (UAPL) licence and relevant experience in flight simulation and student education will be an added advantage.
Other Information
  • Five-day work week (Tue to Sat, 8am to 5pm). Non workday and Rest Day on Sun and Mon.
  • Uniform (polo-tee) provided
  • Work location at SYFC (Seletar area)

Singapore Youth Flying Club (SYFC)

Established in December 1971 as the Junior Flying Club by the then newly-formed Singapore Armed Forces. Its mission is to promote aviation among youths and inculcate in them a strong passion for flying. This is done through its aeromodelling courses for secondary school students and flying training for JC and Polytechnic students. Its vision is to be a world class aviation training centre for youths and it strives to develop them to take up a career in the Republic of Singapore Air Force.
