Job Summary

Support sourcing activities for Engineering and HVM projects by evaluating suppliers, interpreting technical specifications, mitigating risks, driving cost reduction, and ensuring compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing activities for Engineering and High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) projects involving mechanical and electrical components to meet project requirements
• Interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation to make accurate sourcing decisions
• Evaluate suppliers from technical and commercial perspectives to inform business award decisions
• Identify and mitigate technical and supply risks, focusing on critical or long-lead items to ensure project continuity
• Drive continuous cost reduction initiatives through supplier consolidation, alternate sourcing, and value engineering
• Ensure all sourcing activities comply with internal policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to process improvements in sourcing workflows, supplier onboarding, and digital procurement tools to enhance efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related disciplines)
• 2-3 years of engineering sourcing experience
• Ability to interpret technical specifications, drawings, and engineering documentation
• Strong mechanical and electrical engineering knowledge
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
• Strong negotiation and communication skills to effectively engage suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Collaborative team player demonstrating accountability in project delivery
• Analytical and problem-solving mindset to address sourcing challenges
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
