Job Summary

We are seeking enthusiastic and service-oriented Retail Assistant to join our retail team across multiple locations. You will be responsible for delivering an excellent shopping experience, maintaining product displays, and supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers with product inquiries and recommendations
• Provide excellent customer service to both local and international shoppers
• Perform cashiering functions including payment processing, refunds, and exchanges
• Ensure merchandise is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing
• Assist with inventory management: receiving goods, tagging, replenishing stock, stock-take activities
• Maintain store cleanliness and housekeeping standards at all times
• Support store opening and closing procedures
• Handle customer feedback and escalate concerns when needed
• Assist in promotional activities and events when required

Requirements

• GCE ‘N’ / ‘O’ Levels or equivalent
• Prior retail or customer service experience preferred but not required (training provided)
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced retail and tourist-centric environment
• Ability to stand for long hours and carry out light physical duties
• Able to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays

Within a year, our unique and high quality designs had made their mark across almost all tourist attractions in Singapore, establishing us as one of the top three companies for Singapore tourism designs, especially t-shirt products.

Our success isn’t limited to Singapore. We proudly serve clients in Batam, Malaysia, and Hong Kong. As our client base grew, so did our team. By 2018, we had three talented designers, and our reputation for creative and well executed designs, diverse printing techniques, and superior product quality caught the attention of Disney Singapore. This led to a successful partnership for the first Mickey Go Local merchandise, opening new doors and leading us into the world of intellectual properties (IPs).

Today, GOLDWOOD collaborates with many iconic brands, including Disney, Marvel, Sanrio, Pokemon, Snoopy, Crayon Shinchan, Miffy, Tokidoki, Sesame Street, Paramount Pictures, Spongebob Squarepants, Minions, and Universal Studios. We also proudly create our own IP, Mr Merlion. Our product range has expanded beyond t-shirts to include wearable products, accessories, travel kits, lifestyle items, household and kitchenwares, and even edibles such as dry snacks and chocolates. We are also the official distributes for Japanese brands like Skater and SunStar and design and produce OEM products for esteemed clients such as KrisShop, 7-Eleven, and Changi Jewel.
