Architectural Technical
Duties and Responsibilities
- The Architectural Technician will support project teams in developing detailed technical drawings, construction documentation, and coordination packages across various stages of design and delivery.
- Day-to-day responsibilities include producing and updating CAD drawings, assisting in the preparation of tender, authority submission and construction documents, and ensuring that technical solutions align with design intent, building codes, and sustainability goals.
- Close collaboration with the architectural design team, external consultants, and contractors to resolve technical issues, coordinate multidisciplinary information, and maintain document accuracy.
- The Architectural Technician will also contribute to quality control, participate in design reviews, and support the implementation of office standards and best practices.
2. Qualities & skills required
- Candidates should possess strong skills in Architectural Technology and a solid understanding of Architecture principles and building systems.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Technical Drawing and the production of detailed Construction Drawings for various project stages.
- Candidates should possess advanced Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills, ideally including experience with industry-standard software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools).
- Candidates should possess knowledge of application of relevant building codes, regulations, and construction practices
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within project teams.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills for working with diverse, multidisciplinary teams.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Architectural Technology, Architecture, or a related field; prior experience in an architectural practice is highly beneficial.
