Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Wintel Engineer to provide SME-level support for Workplace Management environments. The role covers Windows infrastructure, endpoint management, PC imaging, patch management, software deployment and cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure.

The successful candidate will also be involved in improving operational processes, automation, documentation and overall Workplace Management efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, configuration, testing and maintenance of endpoint hardware and software images, including operating systems, applications, drivers, upgrades, updates and hotfixes.
• Plan, implement and support Patch Management and Software Distribution services.
• Provide administration and support for back-end infrastructure services, with a focus on PC Imaging and Deployment.
• Support desktop and server-related escalations involving Workplace Management tools.
• Plan, implement and maintain AWS or Azure infrastructure and services, ensuring scalability, security and high availability.
• Deploy, configure and manage cloud services such as AWS EC2, VPC, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM and Azure App Services, Azure SQL Database, Azure Functions, where applicable.
• Collaborate with development teams to design and deploy cloud-based applications.
• Implement automation and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve AWS/Azure infrastructure, application and connectivity issues.
• Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies for cloud resources.
• Perform Quality Assurance testing for changes to endpoint devices.
• Identify opportunities to streamline daily operational processes through automation and other improvements.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and adherence to established procedures and best practices.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation and operational reports.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Minimum Diploma in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or a related field. Degree holders are welcome.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, Group Policy Objects (GPO) and Workplace Management tools.
• Hands-on experience with Workplace Management tools such as HCL BigFix, Microsoft SCCM, Citrix VDI, Nexthink or similar platforms.
• Strong knowledge and experience in PC Imaging, OS Deployment, Patch Management and Software Distribution for desktop and server environments.
• Experience working in a heterogeneous IT environment.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with good technical documentation capabilities.
• Experience implementing and supporting enterprise Workplace Management solutions.
• Knowledge of MSI technology, application packaging and deployment processes will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Windows Installer technology, including custom actions, scripting, scenario-based solutions and regression troubleshooting.
• In-depth knowledge of AWS and Azure services and cloud architecture.
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Strong understanding of networking concepts and cloud security best practices.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Shell or other relevant scripting languages.
• Relevant AWS/Azure certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Azure Administrator or Azure Solutions Architect will be an advantage.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $8,500.00 per month
