Job Title

Engineering Salesman / Technical Sales Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Engineering Salesman to promote and sell engineering products and solutions to customers. The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, maintain strong customer relationships, understand technical requirements, and provide suitable product recommendations to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned markets.
• Promote and sell engineering products, equipment, and technical solutions.
• Meet with customers to understand their technical and commercial requirements.
• Prepare quotations, proposals, and technical presentations.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms with customers.
• Coordinate with engineering, production, and logistics teams to ensure timely project execution.
• Provide technical advice and product support before and after sales.
• Follow up on customer inquiries, quotations, and outstanding payments.
• Maintain accurate sales records and prepare regular sales reports.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
• Attend trade exhibitions, customer meetings, and industry events as required.
• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, or related Engineering field.
• Previous experience in engineering or technical sales is preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of engineering products and services.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel for customer visits (if required).

Required competencies and certifications

• Strong understanding of technical products, systems, or enterprise solutions to effectively communicate value
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills to influence customer decisions
• Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers to support sales efforts
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities to address customer challenges Experience with CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or HubSpot for sales management
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required to support sales activities
