Responsibilities
Job Description:
1. Meeting technical specification requirement, interpretation of class rules to address to review comment, testing procedure, short-circuit verification, familiar with elect standard compliance for oil and gas and knowledge in Integrated Automation System (IAS).
2. Document preparation and review for single line drawing, evaluation of electrical load analysis, power plant, switchboards, Variable frequency drive, starters panel, power distribution, alarm monitoring, Fire protection, PAGA, navigation, communication and others for diesel electric vessel.
3. Develop drawing list, cable termination drawing, cable list , cable tray sizing , breakers sizing, control console and preparing of testing protocol according to building schedule.
4. Require system integration skills to liaise among vendors of electrical power management systems, power plant, propulsion, IAS, equipment suppliers while meeting FMEA compliance for dynamic positioning and check on harmonic distortion.
5. This position is required to be full-time based in Indonesia, Batam.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor degree in electrical engineering or diploma in marine engineering
2. At least 5 years relevant working experience in shipyard or in marine electrical field
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD
4. Good computer skills
5. Understand shipbuilding and project processes. Able to comprehend the technical specification and discuss projects with customers.

Listed on the Mainboard of the SGX-ST since 2007, Marco Polo Marine Ltd is a reputable regional integrated marine logistic company which principally engages in shipping and shipyard businesses.
The shipping business of the Group relates to the chartering of Offshore Supply Vessel ("OSVs") for deployment in the regional waters, including the Gulf of Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia and Australia, as well as the chartering of tug boats and barges to customers, especially those which are engaged in the mining, commodities, construction, infrastructure and land reclamation industries.
The Group is also in the midst of estabilishing a Rig Division, subsequent to it engaging PPL Shipyard to build a high-specification Pacific Class 400 rig which is slated for delivery in November 2015.
The shipyard business of the Group relates to ship building as well as the provision of ship maintenance, repair, outfitting and conversion services which are being carrid out through its shipyard located in Batam, Indonesia. Occupying a total land area of approximately 34 hectares with a seafront of approximately 650 meters, the modern shipyard also houses three dry docks which boosted the Group's technical capabilities and service offerings to undertake projects involving mid-sized and sophisticated vessels.
