We are seeking an experienced and motivated Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our central kitchen and catering business. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading operational excellence, ensuring food safety and quality standards, managing manpower, improving productivity, and supporting the company's continued business growth.

This is a leadership role requiring strong operational management experience within the catering, food manufacturing, hospitality, or central kitchen industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the daily operations of the central kitchen & events operations to ensure efficient production and timely fulfilment of catering orders.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve productivity, cost efficiency, and service quality.
• Plan production schedules and coordinate with procurement, logistics, warehouse, sales, and kitchen departments.
• Manage manpower planning, staff scheduling, performance management, and workforce development.
• Monitor inventory levels and oversee procurement planning to ensure adequate stock availability while minimising waste.
• Establish and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to improve operational consistency.
• Ensure compliance with Singapore Food Agency (SFA) regulations, halal requirements, workplace safety regulations, HACCP, and food hygiene standards.
• Analyse operational data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify improvement opportunities and implement corrective actions.
• Manage vendor relationships and negotiate with suppliers to optimise operational costs.
• Coordinate logistics planning to ensure timely islandwide catering deliveries and event operations.
• Work closely with the Sales and Business Development team to support corporate catering, wedding functions, and large-scale events.
• Prepare operational reports, budgets, manpower forecasts, and business performance updates for senior management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, digitalisation projects, and operational process enhancements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Business Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain, Hospitality Management, Food Science, or any bachelor degree discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in operations management within the catering, hospitality, food manufacturing, central kitchen, or food service industry.
• Proven experience managing cross-functional teams and large-scale food production operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, planning, and organisational skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with experience using operational KPIs to drive improvements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and operational reporting tools.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing central kitchen operations with high-volume daily production.
• Experience overseeing logistics, procurement, and inventory management.
• Professional certification in operations, food safety, quality management, or project management is an advantage.
