Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Fabric (OneLake) and enterprise data platform design. The role involves building scalable data pipelines, medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layers), and enabling real-time, cross-cloud data integration.

The candidate will also be responsible for workflow orchestration, access control, and DevOps practices to ensure secure, governed, and automated data operations supporting Power BI and enterprise analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Data Platform Development (MS Fabric / OneLake)
• Design and develop, data solutions using Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse).
• Build scalable data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Fabric-native tools.
• Ensure performance optimization, scalability, and adherence to enterprise standards.
• Data Integration (On-Prem & Cloud)
• Design and develop Integration with on-premise data sources (SQL Server, legacy systems) with Fabric.
• Design and develop Integration with other cloud service provider with Fabric
• Design hybrid data ingestion frameworkssupporting batch and near real-time loads.
• Enable secure and efficient data exchangewith external cloud service providers.
• Database Design & Data Modeling
• Design and implement of layered architecture:
• Bronze Layer: Raw ingestion (batch and real-time)
• Silver Layer: Data cleansing, transformation, versioning
• Gold Layer: Curated, analytics-ready datasets

• Develop optimized data models (fact/dimension, star schema) aligned to analytics use cases.
• Design scalable and performant database structures with:
• Partitioning
• Indexing strategies
• Data version control
• DevOps & DataOps Practices
• Implement CI/CD pipelines for Fabric workspace and deployments using DevOps tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, Git).
• Manage:
• Version control for code, pipelines, and data models
• Automated deployment across environments (Dev, UAT, Prod)
• Power BI Data Sourcing & Analytics Enablement
• Design and deliver high-performance datasets for Power BI dashboards.
• Build Gold layer data models optimized for reporting and analytics.
• Implement:
• Aggregation strategies
• Incremental refresh
• Query performance optimization

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with:
• • Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Pipeline, Warehouse)
  • Microsoft Fabric workspace management with DevOps integration.
  • Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers)
  • Workflow orchestration and pipeline design
  • Partitioning and dataset versioning concepts
• Experience in:
• • Hybrid data integration (on-prem to cloud)
  • Real-time or streaming data pipelines
  • Access control models (RBAC, data security frameworks)
  • Governance, audit, and compliance practices
  • Power BI reporting and dashboards
• Nice-to-Have
• Experience with Azure services (ADF, Synapse, Event Hub)
• Exposure to streaming frameworks (Kafka, Event-driven systems)
• Experience in multi-cloud or cross-cloud integration
• Background in financial services / regulated environments

Soft Skills

Preferred Experience

• 2+ years in MS Fabric

12+ years in Data Solution / Data Engineering.
