Responsibilities
About the role
Demant SEA is seeking a Senior / Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for key accounting functions, managing financial reporting, planning and analysis of the Singapore operations. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external auditors to maintain the highest standards of financial governance and compliance.
Key responsibilities
Manage full spectrum of the accounting functions, including payables and receivables, inventory management, general ledger, and financial reporting
Ensure compliance with local GAAPs and corporate accounting standards
Manage the accounting and financial operations to ensure timely delivery of monthly financial statements and variance analysis
Manage the budgeting and forecasting processes in accordance with corporate guidelines
Issue internal management reports and analyze financial performance of business units
Control and manage inventory adjustments and movements.
Accounting for inter-company transaction meeting transfer pricing guidelines.
Prepare company financial records for timely annual statutory audit and liaise with external auditors to facilitate the audit process
Ensure Direct and Indirect Tax compliance
Identify opportunities for process improvement and enhanced efficiency within the accounting function
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, ACCA or equivalents, with CA/CPA membership
A minimum of 5 years' experience with combination of at least 3 years in audit and regional exposure preferred
Good knowledge of accounting software, preferably Microsoft Navision.
Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to prioritize and organize, ensuring all tasks are completed at the right time, scope, and quality with a minimal level of rework or duplication
Able to work independently, under general direction, and create organized work plans and output requirements in timely manner
A strong concern for quality - good business judgement and excellent attention to detail
Track record of successful innovation; introducing new ideas and techniques to optimize processes, controls, and other practices
Collaborating across teams and offices to achieve successful outcomes with the appropriate levels of support and challenge
Ability to present ideas, expectations, and information in a concise, well-organized way
