Job Description

Responsibilities

Job Summary

Oversee full accounting cycles, tax compliance, HR administration, and corporate documentation to ensure accurate financial reporting and regulatory adherence. Lead junior staff and coordinate with external advisors to support business operations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full accounting cycles including journal entries, reconciliations, period-end close processes, and balance sheet analysis to ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare and file GST returns and annual tax returns to maintain tax compliance
  • Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff by providing guidance to enhance their performance and development
  • Liaise with tax advisors to facilitate smooth tax processes and resolve compliance matters
  • Coordinate with financial institutions and auditors to support audits and banking activities
  • Handle HR administrative functions including payroll processing, employee records maintenance, onboarding, offboarding, and employment contract administration
  • Maintain proper records for tax, audit, and regulatory purposes to ensure documentation accuracy and accessibility
  • Support corporate documentation, statutory filings, company secretarial matters, and insurance renewals to ensure compliance
  • Organize and maintain company documents and HR-related files for easy retrieval and audit readiness
  • Manage banking matters and corporate documentation to support operational needs
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to support business functions

Required competencies and certifications

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accountancy or professional accounting qualifications such as ACCA, CPA, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in MYOB and Microsoft Office applications

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, versatile, and willing to learn with a strong sense of responsibility
