Cleaning Supervisor & Business Development Manager

We are seeking a proactive, hands-on, and results-driven Cleaning Supervisor & Business Development Executive to oversee daily cleaning operations while driving business growth. This dual-role position is responsible for recruiting and managing cleaning personnel, ensuring high service standards, coordinating work schedules, and developing a consistent pipeline of new cleaning and property maintenance contracts.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Cleaning Supervision

• Recruit, interview, and onboard cleaning staff.

• Conduct orientation and provide practical training on cleaning procedures, workplace safety, and customer service.

• Prepare and manage staff deployment schedules to ensure adequate manpower for all job sites.

• Supervise daily cleaning operations and ensure work is completed to company quality standards.

• Perform site inspections and quality assurance checks.

• Resolve operational issues, customer concerns, and manpower shortages promptly.

• Monitor staff attendance, punctuality, productivity, and performance.

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations and company policies.

• Manage cleaning equipment, chemicals, inventory, and maintenance requirements.

Business Development

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in commercial, residential, industrial, and strata properties.

• Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of cleaning and property maintenance contracts.

• Conduct sales presentations, site surveys, and prepare quotations and proposals.

• Build long-term relationships with property owners, managing agents, MCSTs, facilities managers, and corporate clients.

• Negotiate contracts and follow up on sales enquiries until successful closure.

• Achieve monthly and annual sales targets.

• Work closely with operations to ensure smooth service delivery after contract award.

• Identify opportunities for contract renewals and additional services.

Administration & Reporting

• Prepare weekly operational and sales reports.

• Maintain recruitment records, staff training documentation, and client databases.

• Monitor project profitability and recommend operational improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or equivalent qualification preferred.

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in cleaning operations, facilities management, or property maintenance.

• Experience in recruiting and supervising cleaning staff.

• Proven track record in business development or sales, preferably within the cleaning or facilities management industry.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Good planning, scheduling, and organisational abilities.

• Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

• Possession of a valid Class 3 driving licence is an advantage.
