Data Analyst – SG Based

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Data Analyst to join our team in Singapore. The role will work closely with business and cross-functional stakeholders to transform data into meaningful insights that support business decisions and improve our products, operations and customer experiences.

The ideal candidate is analytical, curious and comfortable working with large datasets. You will be involved across the data analytics lifecycle, from data cleaning and preparation to analysis, visualisation and reporting.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, transform and analyse data from multiple sources to ensure data quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Prepare and maintain datasets for business analysis, reporting and visualisation.
• Analyse large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, opportunities and potential business issues.
• Develop regular and ad-hoc reports, dashboards and data visualisations to support business and management decision-making.
• Translate business requirements and questions into appropriate data analysis and actionable insights.
• Work closely with business stakeholders, Product, Technology and other teams to understand data requirements and provide analytical support.
• Support the development and improvement of data processes, workflows and reporting frameworks.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to identify inconsistencies, anomalies and data gaps.
• Maintain clear documentation of data sources, definitions, processes and analytical methodologies.
• Monitor key business and product metrics and provide insights into performance, user behaviour and trends.
• Support experimentation and analysis, including evaluating the results of initiatives, campaigns or product changes.
• Identify opportunities to improve data availability, reporting efficiency and data-driven decision-making across the organisation.
• Present findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing data and analytics projects and other business initiatives as required.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Economics or a related quantitative field .
• 1–3 years of experience in data analytics, business analytics, data science or a related analytical role . Candidates with strong relevant project experience may also be considered.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases.
• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets , including data manipulation, formulas, pivot tables and analytical functions.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis and manipulation.
• Familiarity with data visualisation and business intelligence tools such as Looker Studio, Tableau or Power BI .
• Strong understanding of data cleaning, transformation, validation and analysis techniques.
• Good understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methodologies.
• Ability to work with large datasets and identify meaningful patterns and insights.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Good problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to approach ambiguous business questions analytically.
• Ability to communicate data insights clearly and translate analytical findings into practical business recommendations.
• Comfortable working independently as well as collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms or data warehouses , such as BigQuery, Snowflake or similar.
• Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes or data integration.
• Familiarity with Git/version control and basic software development practices.
• Experience analysing product, customer, marketing or user behaviour data .
• Experience with A/B testing, experimentation or statistical modelling.
• Familiarity with APIs and extracting data from different systems.
• Experience working in a technology, digital platform, consumer internet or start-up environment.
• Confident to solve day to day business case and communicate with business stakeholders and C-Suite.
