Job Description

Responsibilities

About the company:
At BID Operations, we are passionate about supporting our clients in their journey towards success. Our mission is to empower you to thrive by handling the essential yet time-consuming aspects of your business operations, allowing you to concentrate on strategic growth and innovation.

About the role:

We’re looking for an analytical and proactive team member to support our trading operations, platform management, and operational risk activities. You’ll work closely with Dealing, Liquidity, Technology, and other teams to manage trading platforms, monitor operational risks, and ensure trading activities remain within approved controls, procedures, and risk frameworks. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to investigate issues, identify root causes, and coordinate effective solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, document and maintain trading operations procedures, platform controls and operational risk frameworks, contributing independent analysis and practical recommendations.
  • Partner closely with the Dealing, Liquidity, Technology, and other relevant teams to identify, assess, and manage operational and trading-related risks, translating findings into effective controls.
  • Own the triage, prioritisation, and coordination of tasks, cases, and operational requests raised by other teams, ensuring clear ownership, proportionate escalation, root-cause follow-up, and timely resolution.
  • Act as a technical liaison for internal stakeholders, providing clear responses to complex trading, platform, and risk-related queries and offering well-reasoned recommendations.
  • Own the configuration, monitoring, and management of MT4/MT5, including platform settings, trading conditions, risk parameters, operational controls, quality assurance, and controlled change implementation.
  • Oversee trading platform plugins and related solutions, including Copy Trading, MAM (Multi-Account Manager), Dynamic Margin, and other brokerage-related tools.
  • Lead investigations into platform, plugin and trading configuration issues, perform root-cause analysis, implement or coordinate corrective actions, and verify resolution.
  • Drive improvement initiatives across trading platforms and operational workflows to reduce risk, improve efficiency and support scalability.
  • Use SQL, scripting, data analysis, and reporting automation to improve operational efficiency, strengthen monitoring and controls, reduce manual work, and support scalability as business requirements evolve.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of hands-on experience in a Fintech industry, or closely related financial services environment.
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience with MT4/MT5 platform configuration, trading settings, risk controls, operational administration, and controlled production changes will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, electronic trading, trading technology, and the operational risks associated with leveraged products.
  • Practical experience with SQL, coding or scripting is required, with the ability to query data and automate recurring reports or operational tasks. This is not a software engineering role, but candidates should be comfortable using code as part of their day-to-day work.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively and form sound conclusions from incomplete information.
  • Ability to independently manage and triage multiple operational cases and requests in a structured, organised, and timely manner.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain and influence technical and trading-related decisions across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Business-level Mandarin, both written and spoken, is an advantage.
  • Experience managing and troubleshooting MT4/MT5 plugins and third-party trading solutions, such as Copy Trading, MAM, Dynamic Margin, or similar tools, is an advantage.
  • Strong ownership, attention to detail and professional judgement, with the confidence to challenge existing approaches constructively and recommend practical improvements.

Benefits
  • Hybrid working arrangement
  • Opportunities for enriching career growth, including exposure to regional contexts.
  • Complimentary snacks and beverages available in the office pantry
  • Healthcare coverage (medical, dental, optical), gym benefits
  • Flexibility in smart casual dress code
  • Young, vibrant and open work culture
