Java Developer (2–4 Years, Mandarin Mandatory)

Location: Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia

Work Mode: Onsite

Employment type: 1 Year Contract, Extendable or convertible to permanent employment based on performance

We are a lean, high-impact team where engineers work directly on cutting-edge AI products serving enterprise clients across Malaysia and the region.

We are seeking an experienced Java Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications while collaborating closely with technical teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and backend services
• Develop backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and Spring MVC
• Participate in the design and development of microservices and distributed applications
• Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
• Work with relational databases such as MySQL and Oracle for application development and data management
• Troubleshoot application issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions
• Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
• Support application performance analysis, optimization, and performance tuning activities
• Collaborate with developers, technical teams, and business stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle
• Support application deployment and CI/CD activities as required
• Prepare and maintain relevant technical documentation
  
  

Requirements

Must-have:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in any field
• Mandarin speaking proficiency is mandatory
• English proficiency suitable for a professional working environment
• 2–4 years of professional experience in Java development
• Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot and Spring MVC
• Good understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems
• Familiarity with commonly used middleware technologies
• Experience working with relational databases, particularly MySQL and/or Oracle
• Good understanding of REST APIs and backend application development
• Good troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving skills
  
  

Nice-to-have

• Experience with intelligent operations, automation, or AI-assisted IT solutions
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS and/or Microsoft Azure
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices
• Hands-on experience in application performance tuning and optimization
