Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and oversee the implementation of end-to-end technology solutions that align with business objectives, technical requirements, and enterprise standards.

The Solution Architect will act as a key technical leader, bridging business requirements and technical execution. The role will be responsible for defining scalable, secure, cost-effective, and fit-for-purpose architectures across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience in cloud architecture, APIs, microservices, distributed systems, DevOps, and modern technology platforms, with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders, engineering teams, DevOps teams, and infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate business and functional requirements into comprehensive technical architecture and solution designs.
• Design and document end-to-end solution architectures covering application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security components.
• Define high-level system components, interfaces, integrations, data flows, and technology dependencies.
• Evaluate technology options and recommend appropriate platforms, tools, frameworks, and architectural approaches.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business and technical objectives.
• Develop architectures using cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Design and implement solutions involving APIs, microservices, distributed systems, and integration patterns.
• Assess both monolithic and distributed system architectures and recommend appropriate approaches based on project requirements.
• Ensure proposed solutions comply with enterprise architecture standards, cybersecurity requirements, governance policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Work closely with software engineering, DevOps, infrastructure, security, and data teams to ensure successful solution implementation.
• Provide technical guidance and architectural oversight throughout development, integration, testing, and deployment phases.
• Participate in architecture reviews, technical design discussions, and solution validation sessions.
• Engage with business and technical stakeholders to validate architecture decisions, explain technical options, and manage architectural trade-offs.
• Identify technical risks, dependencies, constraints, and opportunities and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Support troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues by providing solution-level guidance.
• Ensure architecture documentation remains accurate and up to date throughout the project lifecycle.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of architecture standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, technical architecture, software architecture, or a related role.
• Strong experience designing end-to-end technology solutions across application, data, integration, and infrastructure domains.
• Strong knowledge of at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native services and cloud architecture principles.
• Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, system integration, and distributed systems.
• Experience designing and working with both monolithic and distributed architectures.
• Knowledge of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, containerization, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, security architecture, compliance, and governance requirements.
• Experience with architecture modelling and documentation tools such as ArchiMate, UML, Lucidchart, or *************.
• Strong understanding of system scalability, availability, reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
• Ability to evaluate different technologies and make appropriate architectural recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working within enterprise architecture frameworks and standards.
• Experience with cloud migration, modernization, or digital transformation projects.
• Knowledge of event-driven architecture, messaging, and asynchronous integration patterns.
• Experience with infrastructure automation and Infrastructure as Code.
• Familiarity with security-by-design and DevSecOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.

Education

A degree or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline is preferred.
