Laboratory Technician

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) is looking for Laboratory Technician, who is passionate about science and education, and who enjoy supporting students and academic staff in a dynamic laboratory environment.

What you will be doing:

1. Prepare and maintain science laboratories (Biology, Chemistry & Physics), apparatus, and resources to enable effective delivery of practical classes, examinations, and workshops.

2. Ensure laboratories operate safely in compliance with institutional and regulatory standards.

3. Manage inventory, storage, handling, and disposal of chemicals, consumables, and equipment to ensure resources are available and properly maintained.

4. Provide technical and operational support to lecturers and students during practical sessions.

5. Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory safety, organisation, and best practices.

Who are we looking for?  

1. Diploma or Degree holder in Chemistry or relevant Science field.

2. Prior experience in an educational setting laboratory is an added advantage.

3. Attention to details.

4. Familiarity with safety protocols and lab best practices

5. Work with equipment and instruments relevant to lab, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results.
