About Us
We are an established automotive manufacturing company specializing in high-quality stamped metal components and assemblies. As an IATF 16949-certified supplier to major automotive OEMs, we are looking for a driven and experienced Senior Technical Engineer to join our team and support our production, tooling, and engineering developments.
Key Responsibilities
- Stamping & Tooling Management: Oversee and optimize metal stamping processes, progressive/transfer die designs, and continuous improvement initiatives for automotive parts.
- Process Optimization: Develop and refine engineering documentation, including Engineering Change Notices (ECN), Process Flow Diagrams (PFD), Control Plans, and Process FMEA (PFMEA).
- New Product Introduction (NPI): Support sample submission, prototype development, tooling trial runs, and APQP/PPAP documentation.
- Troubleshooting & Root Cause Analysis: Lead technical problem-solving on the shop floor for press line issues, quality defects, tool wear, and scrap reduction using 8D report methodology.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Quality Assurance, Toolroom, Maintenance, and Production teams to ensure zero operational disruption and adherence to safety/5S standards.
Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Material Science, or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in metal stamping, tooling design, or press shop operations within the automotive industry.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with metal stamping machinery (mechanical/hydraulic presses) and die structures.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA).
- Strong understanding of IATF 16949 requirements and core tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills, strong communication, and the ability to work under tight automotive delivery schedules.
