Job Description

Responsibilities

Roles & Responsibilities:


1. Implementation of compliance program

  • Support the implementation of the Company's Compliance Program covering regulatory compliance, AML/CFT, investment, product and sales compliance, in line with regulatory requirements and AIA Group standards.
  • Coordinate compliance-related system deliverables (e.g., Sunray, eGRC, IRIS) and serve as the point of contact for related activities.
  • Conduct compliance risk assessments, gap analyses, and assurance reviews, while working with business units to identify, assess, and mitigate compliance risks.
  • Maintain regulatory inventories, obligation registers, and reporting trackers to ensure timely fulfilment of regulatory requirements.
  • Support the development and implementation of compliance policies, procedures, and control frameworks.
  • Represent Compliance in local and Group initiatives, projects, and stakeholder engagements.


2. Reporting & Monitoring

  • Perform compliance reviews on business units and third parties, and monitor remediation of identified issues and control gaps.
  • Track, log, and monitor compliance issues, incidents, and action plans through relevant systems.
  • Prepare compliance reports, dashboards, and presentation materials for Management and Board Committees (e.g., MC, BRMC, MRMC).
  • Escalate and report compliance risks and issues in accordance with established governance and reporting protocols.
  • Support investigations and the management of suspected compliance breaches, fraud, or misconduct cases.


3. Compliance Culture & Awareness

  • Support the delivery of compliance training, communications, and awareness programmes to promote a strong culture of compliance and ethics.
  • Provide regulatory compliance guidance and advisory support to business stakeholders.


4.Others

  • Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by the supervisor in order to meet operational and/or other requirements.


Minimum Requirements:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Law or Business with approx. 7 years solid work experience in the general insurance/ financial industry handling compliance and/or controls
  • In-depth understanding of the Insurance/Takaful business preferred and, in lieu of insurance, financial services.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and self-motivated.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills in English and local language.
  • Independent and be able to work under pressure
  • Be organized, detail-oriented and analytical
  • Possess influencing skills, business acumen and problem solving skills
  • High level of integrity and take ownership and accountability of results
