Business Development/Solutions Lead – AI Solutions

About the Role

We are looking for a Business Development/Solutions Lead to help identify enterprise opportunities, develop strategic customer relationships, and drive AI projects from initial discussion through commercialisation.

The role will focus on working with customers across industries such as biomedical, finance, advanced materials, scientific research, and engineering , helping them identify and solve complex business problems using AI.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new B2B enterprise customers across key industries.
• Understand customer business challenges and identify opportunities where AI can create meaningful value.
• Manage the end-to-end sales process, from customer outreach and needs analysis to POC, commercial negotiation, and closing .
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Solutions teams to develop solutions tailored to customer needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders, including business leaders, technology leaders, research teams, and innovation teams.
• Drive POCs, strategic partnerships, joint projects, and long-term customer relationships.
• Keep up with AI trends, customer needs, and market developments to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide customer and market feedback to help shape product and commercial strategy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above.
• 5+ years of experience in B2B sales, business development, strategic partnerships, solution sales, or consultative sales.
• Experience selling to enterprise or high-value customers .
• Strong customer-facing and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to understand customer problems and translate them into practical business solutions.
• Interest in AI, LLMs, AI Agents, or emerging technology .
• Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment and building new business opportunities from 0 to 1

Nice to Have

• Experience in AI, SaaS, cloud, data, fintech, life sciences, consulting, or technology .
• Existing relationships with enterprises, pharmaceutical companies, financial institutions, research organisations, or universities.
• Experience selling high-value or complex technology solutions .
• Experience working with technical teams, researchers, or senior executives.
Experience in AI for Science, AI for Finance, drug discovery, research, or other AI applications.
