Role Description The Training Officer is responsible for planning, delivering, and monitoring training programs that support service excellence and operational standards at Hyatt House Kuala Lumpur, Mont Kiara. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, involves conducting employee training sessions, facilitating onboarding for new team members, and coordinating ongoing development workshops across departments. The Training Officer designs training materials, maintains training records, and evaluates program effectiveness through feedback, performance metrics, and follow-up coaching. The role also collaborates with department leaders to identify skills gaps, align training initiatives with brand standards and local requirements, and support a culture of continuous learning and guest-focused service. Additional responsibilities may include organizing training schedules, supporting compliance-related training, and contributing to employee engagement activities.
Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Training & Development and Employee Training, with experience designing and facilitating structured learning programs.
  • Proficiency in Training delivery and Communication, including the ability to present clearly, engage diverse teams, and adapt training styles to different learning needs.
  • Solid Analytical Skills to assess training needs, interpret performance data, and evaluate the effectiveness of training initiatives.
  • Experience in hospitality or service-focused environments is highly beneficial, preferably in hotels or extended-stay properties.
  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Education, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple training projects and schedules.
  • Comfort with using presentation tools, learning materials, and basic digital platforms to support training delivery and record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, respectful learning environment for all team members.
